Port of Oakland Reopens
All activities at the Port of Oakland were halted as independent truckers protested Assembly Bill 5 (AB5), a gig economy law passed in 2019. After over a week of stoppage, dockworkers can now pass picket lines to get to work. U.S. agricultural exporters have taken the biggest hit following these protests.
